Alumni Success Stories: Chee Hoe & Thandiwe — From ASB MBA to Founders
Two ASB MBA graduates — Chor Chee Hoe of Qarbotech and Thandiwe Gondo of Konnect Edu-Tech — share how action learning and global exposure shaped them as entrepreneurs.
Two Asia School of Business MBA alumni, two very different ventures, one shared story: the MBA was where they learned to build.

Why ASB
Both founders went looking for a world-class business education — and found it in ASB's blend of Asian context and MIT Sloan academic rigour. For Thandiwe, that combination stood out: "An Asian fusion combined with MIT academic rigor. That was something that attracted me as an African entrepreneur."
Learning by doing
ASB's action learning and international experiences were the turning point. "Action learning and international experiences fundamentally reshaped the way I think," one of them reflects. They learned to manage a business from an entrepreneur's perspective as well as the corporate world's — and, from Southeast Asia to the USA, ASB gave them "front row seats."
Working on real business challenges in Malaysia and Thailand built what they describe as cultural agility and collaborative resilience — skills that changed how they structure their businesses and how they think about making impact on a global stage.

The MBA equipped them with the tools, mindset and network to lead "with both purpose and precision" — and, in their words, that is exactly what made them the entrepreneurs they are today.
