CHALLENGE

The Social Innovation Challenge (SIC) is a dynamic ASB competition for students, alumni, and external invitees, to engage in action-based challenges focused on addressing real-world problems. Emphasizing hands-on experiences, the challenge centers around the Collection Center First Mile Traceability Challenge, aiming to tackle pressing issues. The winning team will secure MYR 20,000 in seed capital and collaborate with the corporate partner for co-development and launch. This event champions innovation, collaboration, and practical application, aligning seamlessly with ASB’s commitment to experiential learning for a comprehensive and rewarding educational experience.

Who can apply for the challenge?

This challenge is open to all ASB students, Alumni and selected guest participants, preferably those passionate about technology-driven solutions and social causes.

Can I join as a team?

Applications must be submitted individually.

How do we apply?

Applicants are required to complete the registration form and explain their motivation for participating in the challenge by the application deadline.

How is the application and selection process?

The organizing committee will review the applications and select 9-12 participants to enter the challenge.

The selection decisions made by the organizing committee will be final.
The organizing committee will group the selected participants into diverse teams consisting of three to four members each.
The announcement of team matching will be made during the Pre-Challenge Briefing Session.

Are participants required for onsite visits?

It is mandatory for all team members to actively participate during the onsite visits, team activities, and the Final Presentation session ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
